Clinton on MO Highway 7. The lighted
runway accommodates most small jets and gas and service are available. Plans are underway to install an automated weather observing system (AWOS) and construct a new 5,500-foot runway.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Growth and development is at an all-time high, with $15+ million in commercial projects (business and health care facilities) planned for 2005-2006. In the last 18 months, Clinton has attracted the attention of several large retailers - with Hampton Inn, Applebee's, Walgreens
and Arby's opening facilities. Clinton's busiest commercial area has approximately 29,000 vehicles travel through it each day.
Public construction projects are also thriving. The City of Clinton has projets totaling approx. $8.2 million underway. Major projects include a new City Hall, an indoor aquatic center, outdoor pool improvements, and street enhancements.
The Historic Downtown Square and surrounding Main Street District is home to more than 150 locally owned businesses. The historic atmosphere, a thriving commercial environment, and a 98% occupancy rate make this an attractive location for retail, service, and professional businesses. Over $2.1 million in public and private improvements were made in 2003-2005.
